#1 Nothing is being taken away from you
People think that something is being taken away from them when they change their eating habits. This is simply not true. Shifting to healthier eating habits actually gives you more of what you truly want - feeling better both mentally and physically.
#2 People will try to sabotage you
You may have already experienced this before, but people will straight-up sabotage you. Even loved ones. How many times have you had someone say "It's only one piece of candy" or "You'll work it off" or "You deserve it"?
Respectfully setting up boundaries and having a support system are two major keys for success.
#3 Consistency is King
Consistency is king. Nonnegotiable habits are key. Your internal self-talk matters. Make going to the gym automatic, and not a decision. Regularly ask yourself: Does this decision get me one step closer or one step further away?
