Parker Refused to Let Cancer Write His Story
When Parker Martin entered the 2026 #IWANTABZ Contest, he wasn't chasing a number on the scale.
He was preparing for a fight. His goal was simple. Get as healthy, strong, and prepared as possible.
“After being diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer, my goal for 2026 was simple. As I approach surgery after undergoing treatments since August of 2025, I wanted to be in the best shape possible to allow my body to recover.”
For Parker, #IWANTABZ became much more than a fitness contest.
It became a daily reminder that he still had control over his choices. His habits, effort, and attitude.
“Cancer will not define me or my family. This is simply a challenge to overcome.”
Throughout chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Parker stayed committed to the process.
Every day, every workout, every habit.
“This contest helped me stay laser focused on my health during chemo and radiation, doubling down on my daily non-negotiable habits.”
The schedule wasn't easy. Parker would wake up and train before most people were even out of bed. Then he would go through treatment. Then he would go to work.
And do it all again the next day.
“If I could lift daily at 4 a.m., go through treatment, and then go back to work every day, there isn't anything I can't accomplish.”
But Parker wasn't just doing it for himself. He's a father, teacher, and coach too.
“This gave me a chance to demonstrate accountability, growth, and discipline to my own children, as well as the kids I coach daily.”
That's what makes Parker's story so powerful. The willingness to keep showing up even when life presents unimaginable challenges.
One workout.
One treatment.
One day at a time.
