15) Gotta Adapt
People hit me up all the time because of my crazy walking lunge routines.
The first 5-10 days are insanely hard. You're extremely sore and you can barely get out of the truck or sit on the toilet. Everything's just a little bit more difficult, no matter what way you look at it.
Through all the soreness you can also spot signs of light. Yeah, you're walking around and hurting, but the body starts to adapt and then you start to see the benefits.
You adapt.
If you can adapt, then you can win. If you don't adapt, you lose. If I don't adapt, then I'm not helping people do what they need to do. You see what I'm saying? So, it's one of those things where you have to force the adaptation, just like you force your body to change.
Look at your schedule and say, "Boom, I got that. Boom, I can push it a little bit more. Boom, this is just what it is." And adapt. I'm going to be better because of this. I'll be better because I adapted. I'll be better because I pushed myself. I'm not going to wait a month to figure this out. It might take me a week, but I’ll figure it out.
