“For 12 weeks I dedicated myself to the process. I was in the gym every day of this competition busting my ass, at the track doing the lunges, on my living room floor ripping out extra nightly abs. I followed AF 101 to a tee and proved how much of a unicorn diet this truly is. I know that it wasn’t necessary but I went the extra mile and did not drink a drop of alcohol during this 12 weeks. I did this knowing I would feel much better during those early Saturday and Sunday morning workouts. I woke up at 3:45am every morning and did not waiver or fall to life’s pressures once during this time. As mentioned above, 5 of the 12 weeks of this competition were spent on the road living out of a hotel. This made things extra hard and required some creativity, especially when it came to the diet side of things. I even got locked in to a high school’s track facility (vehicle and all) while I was doing lunges down in Georgia. I put the work in, no matter what. As soon as you realize that sitting around wishing for shit to change doesn’t get you anywhere, the better off you’ll be.”
