#107 Quit Whining

Where does whining get you?  Absolutely nowhere.  It never does.  What should you do?  Be honest with yourself.  Brush yourself off, stand up, and look in the mirror and say, “Guess what?  You aren’t doing enough.  You haven’t tried enough.  You haven’t figured it out yet.”

 

Jump Broz

Before I went on my Jump Broz journey, my knees were super fucked up.  At the beginning of the quarantine, I committed to spending every fucking hour testing and figuring out how to heal my knees.  And that’s exactly what happened.  I had been frustrated with my knees for years.  I gave up multiple times along the way, but I finally figured it out.  What happened next?  I hit my goal of dunking.

 

Are You Trying Your Best?

Are you whining because something isn’t working?  Are you truly giving it your best?  Look at my Lunge & Learn protocol.  Are you whining because 400 meters isn’t getting it done?  Then go 800 meters.

None of the shit that I accomplished was ever given to me.  I busted my ass for 300 days straight for 800 meters.  I squatted for three fucking years straight to hit my elite total goals.  I've fucking passed out in my basement on front squats.  I've dumped weights by myself.  I fucking bombed out at meets.  I gave it everything I had, and no matter how I feel, that's what I do.  I didn’t whine.  I didn’t whine because no one cares.

 

Take What’s Yours

I took what was mine because I wanted it.  I was willing say, "You know what?  400 meters isn’t working right now.  AF 102 isn’t working right now.  Maybe I need 800 meters and AF 101."  Is it that easy?  No, it’s not, but is that what it takes to go to the next step?  

Are you willing to accept that?  Are you willing to put yourself in uncomfortable situations?  Are you willing to do what other motherfuckers aren’t willing to do?  That’s what it comes down to.  The reason I’ve accomplished what I’ve accomplished is because I’m willing to do what other people aren’t willing to do.

 

Next Level

If you want more, you have to be willing to give more.  It takes more work.  It takes more testing and more trial and error.  It’s just what it is.  It’s what separates you from the pack.  If you want it, take it. 

Do you want to be the motherfucker at the pool smashing beers, eating what you want, look fucking nasty, and everybody your age is wondering how you do it?  That’s the kind of shit I think about.  This is the kind of stuff that is going to separate yourself from every other motherfucker.

 

It's Hard

To do what we do is fucking hard.   Just like David Goggins says, “Take a motherfucking soul.”  In business, I think about the “pack a lunch” mentality.  It all comes down to what you’re willing to do.  For me, I’m willing to get up at 3:00am.  I’m willing to work all fucking day.  I’m willing to sleep less.  I’m willing to eat well.  I’m willing to put in the miles of lunges.  I’m willing to do what it takes. 

Are you willing to do what it takes to separate yourself?

 

Expect More

Don’t bitch.  Ask for help.  I don't fuck with this whiny bullshit.  That’s not how I operate.  My crew is a crew of winners.  Winners win.  My expectation is to fucking win.  A game killers only.  That's what we do.

If you expect more out of yourself, you in the right fucking place.  If you’re butt hurt because I'm talking to you, then good.  I’ve been the person that needed to hear this kind of stuff before too.  Suck it up, get it done, and separate yourself.
