#276 What is Your Genuine Aim for Success?
What is the skill that you need? What mindset do you need? What do you want to be? How do you want to operate?
Write down a list of things you need to work on, then get to work.
What do you want?
If someone followed you around every day, do you want them to think, “That is a disciplined, driven motherfucker”?
Is that what you want? If that’s what you want, you must think and be able to answer these questions on a regular basis.
What does being successful mean to you?
What skills do you need to acquire or work on in order to realize your version of success? Who can you learn from?
It’s just like in the gym. For example, I’ve experienced a few SI joint injuries in my powerlifting career. What did I do? I immersed myself in the subject entirely. How could I fix the problem, and how could I prevent it from happening in the future?
The more I can understand something, the better equipped I will be to handle it next time. As an added bonus, I can share what I learned with other people so they don’t have to go through what I went through.
Always be looking
If you’re not getting better, chances are you’re getting worse.
Be hungry to learn more within your craft. Stop thinking that you know everything because you don’t. There’s always more to learn.
It’s a lifelong pursuit. We’re constantly evolving and refining our minds as we learn more and more. Never be satisfied.
