Muscle Minute #63: No Talent? No Problem.
“Progress happens when you commit to doing something every day, no matter how small.”
Consistency is why I’m here, why you’re reading this, and why you know me.
I knew early on that I wasn’t the most talented at anything, so I figured if I just stayed consistent, eventually I would get off the bench and earn some playing time. I made a pact with myself: if I did what the talented kids weren’t willing to do, even if it took 20 years, I’d be better than them too.
That pact was made when I was a sophomore in high school, 30 years ago: no more than one week off from workouts, for the rest of my life. I test things daily, seeing how small actions compound over 7, 14, and 21 days.
Keep testing. Keep trying. Keep showing up. Give yourself a chance to win.
