Allow Me to Remind You
Personal initiative and action are available to everyone. Sometimes things are easy, sometimes they aren’t. I’ve been on both sides, as have many of you. It’s easy to cast stones at people saying things like, "That person was already set up. Must be nice. They’re already there." Most people fixate on the finished product or result. They don’t understand the astronomical amount of work it took to get there.
The Initiative is Available
For me, I’m at a spot where I want to get back to all-time numbers in the gym and in business. I'm at this spot where I'm trying to take chances as an investor. I'm at this spot where I'm trying to create next level material that impacts others.
The initiative is available to me if I want it. It’s up to me. I have to evaluate, process, and understand what I have to do in order to get to the next level. There’s plenty of things, as I’m sure you do, that you want to accomplish.
So, what did I do? I went back to the book that changed everything for me, The Wisdom of Andrew Carnegie as told by Napoleon Hill. It’s now called How to Raise Your Own Salary. It’s from the early 1900’s but the success principles are timeless.
It’s my personal manual of how to crush it. It’s where many of the principles in The Mindset Manual came from. I love revisiting these materials because it reminds me of how I changed my life in the first place.
Are You Taking Initiative?
I ask myself all the time: "G, are you taking enough initiative to create these next level goals you want?" In some ways I am, and other regards I’m not. I’m not checking all the boxes yet. Are you? Probably not. Most people aren’t all the way in.
Everyone must put forth the effort. There’s no substitute when it comes to being great at something. Consistent initiative and action are mandatory to being great. And that’s what I’m obsessed with. I ask myself questions like, “How can I continue putting out at this level? How can I impact as many people as possible? How can I hit my financial goals and change my family forever? What’s it going to take?”
Ask yourself these questions TODAY.
This is a Personal Check
This is a personal check for both me and you. What are you thinking about? What are you working on? What are you trying to get better at?
I was recently asked about my definitive purpose. My definitive purpose is to change generations of my family forever. I want to show my family and others what is truly possible, because growing up there weren’t many open-minded thoughts floating around. No one ever said I couldn't do it, but I needed to construct a better environment around me.
Personal initiative and action are available to everyone. Check yourself now and make the moves to push forward to accomplish your goals.
