🤔 THOUGHT
The 3-Step Process for Killing Procrastination
Everyone procrastinates. No one's an exception.
Although some are worse than others, there certainly are strategies for minimizing procrastination.
#1 Identify the list
The first thing I do is make a list of the things I have to do. I list the things I don't want to do the most FIRST.
These items are the things that I'm procrastinating on most, therefore, I attack those first.
If I don't do it first thing, it turns into another day of putting it off.
#2 Ask for help
"Help" is one of the most powerful words in our language.
Asking for help is one of the most effective and efficient strategies for getting something done that you're putting off.
I'm well aware of what my strengths and weaknesses are, and I'm not afraid to ask for help with those things I'm not so great at.
#3 Handle it immediately
Those things you're procrastinating on? They're all renting space in your head - consciously and subconsciously.
I'm speaking from experience here. If I don't have something handled, I can feel the space it's taking. It's like when you're bedroom or office is cluttered... it rents space.
Not to mention that your creative powers are dampened until you get it cleared up.
Handle it fast and move on!
