Cardio & Lifting: How to strike the right balance
Balancing cardio & weight training can be super difficult, right? Especially if your goal is to both lose weight AND focus on body recomposition simultaneously.
Personally, I'm doing over one hour of cardio per day PLUS at least 90 minutes of lifting.
I know, seems daunting to figure out a healthy balance, right? Well, it is! But it most certainly is possible.
So, how do I do it?
Knock out as much cardio as possible first thing in the morning... this is especially important on the days where I know I'm going to be busier. For example, on those days I'll get up and immediately hit the treadmill for 45 minutes of cardio.
Look, sometimes I can't knock out all my cardio in one session, and that's okay. Just split it up! Breaking up your sessions may even work out better for you mentally & physically in the long run.
Why Water & Hydration isn't Optional
How much water is enough water?
How do you know that you're getting enough?

Well, as most of us already know, drinking enough water is crucial for essentially all body functions.
Don't believe me? Try it out! Set a goal to drink 1 gallon of water per day for 21 days. Tell me how you feel!
We've all heard the commonplace advice of "drink at least 1 gallon of water a day," right?
This is because...
- Getting enough water is crucial to muscular development
- Getting enough water is crucial to measuring incremental progress
- Getting enough water is crucial to long-term training success & performance
