You will appreciate that weekend cheat meals so much more when you actually earned it and didn’t cave like a little bitch during the week. 

When you earn it, remind yourself.

When I drink that beer, drink that bourbon, or eat those wings, I 100% know that I’ve earned it. And because I earned it, my body's not going to respond the way it would've if I'd done it Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.


Be disciplined with yourself

Personally, I’m very hard on myself. How hard are you on yourself? 

I’m not saying you have to be a maniac, but most people are too soft. They’re soft and they always give themselves the easy way out. 

The remedy? Force some discipline into your life. Doing so will put you on the path to where you want to go. 

If you’re cheating on Tuesday, drinking beer Wednesday, and having a few chips on Thursday, you’re not going to get you where you want to go. How can you create any positive momentum when you’re doing the same stuff during the week as you’re doing on the weekend?

It doesn’t work.


Build your system

The week is for fuel. The week is for performance. The week is for building positive momentum. 

The weekend is for fun. The weekend is for enjoyment. The weekend is for a little dysfunction. 

Stick to the guidelines so you can enjoy the cheat meals, the alcohol, or the cigar. Doing so will put your mind at ease and keep you on the tracks for the long term.
